We are really fortunate to be able to employ a part-time Children's Youth and Family Worker who works during the week in our local schools as well as Sundays across our two churches.

All our volunteers have been DBS checked and completed the Diocesan safeguarding training.

Risk assessments for events and groups are submitted to the Parochial Church Council for approval on a regular basis.

HUB  4th Sunday of the month  10am

We begin the morning with the main church family in the Church, children are then prayed for by the whole church family and are led by the CYFW worker and volunteers into the adjoining Church Hall for HUB with age specific activities and games. Parents and carers are free to join in or remain the main church.

Children can be collected by parents and carers to join them for bread and wine at Communion and/or continue to stay in the Hall until refreshment time. See the calendar for the next meeting

Holiday Club

The St Nick's holiday club runs for a week near the beginning of the summer holiday.

Holiday Club 2020 dates are: Tuesday 28th July - Friday 31st July 2020.

Children are dropped off any time from 9.15am, for a 9.30am start and stay with us until 12.30.

The holiday clubs have a nominal charge to enable us to provide enough crafts, snacks and resources for the week.

School's Work

Members of the Ministry Team regularly go into local primary schools to lead collective worship at the request of the school.
In the week leading up to Easter,  volunteers from the church family come together to run 'Experience Easter' which is a multi-sensory activity where children as part of their National Curriculum religious education syllabus, learn about Holy Week and Jesus' subsequent betrayal, arrest, death and resurrection.

Woodlands School - Anna our CYFW worker spends a few hours each week in our local secondary school volunteering as a school pastor. Students and staff are encouraged to talk to Anna about anything concerning them.
