Welcome to St. Nicks
Welcome to St Nicholas' Church here in Allestree, we are also known locally as St Nick's and are part of the Church of England. We'd describe ourselves as informal, prayerful and open to the workings of the Holy Spirit through our lives.
Our Sunday morning services are when we gather together to offer worship and prayer, to be challenged, inspired and encouraged in our daily lives and to catch up over a good brew. We love celebrating birthdays and special occasions and offer prayer ministry during our services.
We have a regular 10am morning service in the main church, sometimes we have a joint breakfast cafe service with our friends from St Paul's in Quarndon and our friendly welcomers will always direct you to the right part of our building.
We have good level access for those who need help with mobility- just follow the signs, a loop system, a great car-park, lots of loos and baby changing areas. We have plenty of space for buggies and pushchairs too.
We use an overhead screen to project the words and songs, but we always have books and paper service sheets and large print available on request.
Our children are encouraged stay in the service with their families on the 1st and 2nd Sundays of the month, and on the 3rd and 4th Sundays gather in the main church before going to HUB in our adjacent Church Hall for stories and activities run by our Children's, Youth and Family Worker.
Our on-site church office is staffed by our Church Administrator, Mrs Gael Browne on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.30am-3.30pm.
If you'd like to simply book our room facilities please contact her on the church office number or send an email.
